Role Description

Joining Bath Finance Society is a fantastic way to explore career paths in finance, build skills, and meet like-minded people. As the largest non-sports society on campus with over 2,000 members, we offer access to industry speakers, workshops, and networking opportunities that not only provide insight into the finance sector but also give you experiences to draw on in applications, e.g. cover letters, LinkedIn, HireVues, and interviews. Beyond the professional side, BFS is also a community. You will make friends across different years and courses, enjoy society-only socials, and be part of one of the most active and supportive student networks at Bath.
This committee role is open to all year groups and degree backgrounds, with first-years especially encouraged.
Careers Support Officer
As a Careers Support Officer, you will help run the programmes and resources that connect BFS members with real opportunities in finance. Working under the Head of Careers, you'll be involved in:

Responsibilities

  • Coordinating the Analyst Programme and committee application cycles, from advertising open roles to supporting shortlisting
  • Maintaining and updating the opportunities section of the website, including role listings and application deadlines
  • Helping organise CV, cover letter and interview preparation workshops for members
  • Liaising with sponsors and alumni to source career insights, opportunities and mentoring content
  • Supporting the wider committee with careers-related content for events and speaker sessions
  • Tracking application outcomes and gathering feedback to improve the process year on year

Who We're Looking For

A great role for someone organised, approachable and genuinely interested in helping other students access opportunities in finance. No previous committee experience is required, but strong attention to detail and a willingness to support members through their own application journeys is essential. Must be a full time Bath student in 2026/2027 year.
