Role Description

Joining Bath Finance Society is a fantastic way to explore career paths in finance, build skills, and meet like-minded people. As the largest non-sports society on campus with over 2,000 members, we offer access to industry speakers, workshops, and networking opportunities that not only provide insight into the finance sector but also give you experiences to draw on in applications, e.g. cover letters, LinkedIn, HireVues, and interviews. Beyond the professional side, BFS is also a community. You will make friends across different years and courses, enjoy society-only socials, and be part of one of the most active and supportive student networks at Bath.

This committee role is open to all year groups and degree backgrounds, with first-years especially encouraged.

Employer Relations Officer

As an Employer Relations Officer, you will help build and maintain the relationships that bring real opportunities to BFS members. Working under the Head of Opportunities, you'll be involved in:

Responsibilities

  • Building and maintaining relationships with graduate recruiters, alumni and industry contacts
  • Coordinating employer-led sessions, insight days and recruitment events
  • Supporting sponsors with visibility across BFS's opportunities programmes
  • Gathering and sharing up-to-date information on graduate schemes, internships and application deadlines
  • Working with the Careers Support Officer to connect members with relevant opportunities
  • Representing BFS professionally in communications with external partners

Who We're Looking For

A great role for someone personable, professional and comfortable representing BFS to external contacts. No previous committee experience is required, but strong communication skills and reliability in following through on relationships are essential. Must be a full time Bath student in 2026/2027 year.
